Thumbs down downloadable package for old releases

    Hi, all,

Ubuntu moves up so fast on its timebased release schedule.

Is it possible to get downloadable package for old releases (for example 10.10 Maverick Meerkat). Search ubuntu package site, 10.10 was not even listed. (that's the meaning of not supported any more.)

I don't have Internet on this installation, actually trying to build firmware for the wifi adapter which requires linux-firwmare pacakge. So no option of doing # apt-get install

    Please comment,

    Thanks,

Talking Re: downloadable package for old releases

    Thanks for comment.

Maybe my original post is not clear enough.

I am looking for software package installation .deb or source not ubuntu source.

Or I don't figure out how to use: http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/

Two packages I want immediately for 10.10 are:
    "linux-firmware" and "build-essential"

    Please further comment,

    Thanks,

Re: downloadable package for old releases

You will need to enable the end-of-life repos for 10.10 which I thionk you can do by following the info at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades

    EDIT:
Sorry, but I have just read in more detail and I see that the site does not mention 10.10 at all, so you will not be in luck, I'm afraid.
