12.04 desktop changer?

12.04 desktop changer?

I have just moved from 11:04 to 12.04.
On 11.04 (and 10.10) it was a fairly easy task to create your own desktop changer file (it's an xml file) and pull that in so you desktop changed every 15mins or so.
Now I find that method does not work in 12.04!
There are some PPAs out there for wallpaper changers, but I'm wondering if this can be done as simply as it was in 11.04, and I am just missing something.

Thanks for the replies.

I was hoping that perhaps I could do it the same way as is 10.10/11.04 using an XML file.

What is interesting is that on computers where I have the XML file method installed prior to upgrade, AND where I have upgraded from 11.04 (via 11.10) to 12.04, the XML file method is working.
So clearly it works, it's just trying to figure out a way of getting the XML file recognized by the system

Any thoughts?
