    .ogv video lost sound

I recorded a skype interview for a school project. In Movie player, at 12:20, it stops playing all together. In VLC, the sound drops out but the video keeps going. I used Record My Desktop to record the conversation. Is there a way to salvage the sound because I doubt I will have the time to be able to do this again. The file saved as .ogv. Is there a way to "uncorrupt" it, or whatever happened?

Sometimes re-encoding the audio can fix problems like this. I use avconv, a commandline tool, for this kind of thing; there is a GUI frontend called WinFF in the repos as well.

    Code:
    avconv -i input.ogv -c:v copy -c:a libvorbis output.ogv
Will produce a mostly-identical file. Again, sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on exactly what is wrong with the sound.
