    Angry getting mad of my Ibook g4 very need to delete Mac and install ubuntu

    hello evry body,

    i have an ibookg4 powerpc

    under mac os x 10.4.11 (8s165)
    poross : 1.33 gh2
    512 mb
    version kanel darwin 8.11.0
    volume makintosh hd

    please help me to delete this hell mac for all and install ubuntu

    and please tell me which version of ubuntu that can be installed on this mahchine and how to burn it .
    i tried ubuntu 10.4 and 12.4 i burn them with poweriso
    i tryed to boot from cd holing the bottom C but ididnt boot.
    please help me

    You might want to check out one of the lighter versions of *buntu, such as Xubuntu or Lubuntu, Ubuntu may not run well with later versions.

    I'm not sure how a G4 boots exacly, but check that you're doing it right (user manual?) and that the CD is correctly bootable.

    i have tried many times idosn't word i have dowloaded ubuntu that works with ppc

    but none of theme is working can you help
    if ubuntu can't work windows would be great too is there a way ^plz

    It sounds suspiciously like it's not booting the CD at all. In fact, I would almost guarantee it's not booting the CD based on your description.

    We're not a hardware or Mac forum...you might want to try one of those instead if it's refusing to boot from a CD at all.

    maybe it wont boot at all i tried many unbuntus but none works now im dowloading lubuntu and i will see thanks guys .

    its the first time i use mac and i realy hate it
    ubuntu is great

    hello evry body i have boot my ibook g4 i was using desctop version but when i dowloaded ppc wersion it works but 12.4 is very slow now im trying 10.10
    is there a way to make it look lik windows plz

    Which version are you booting? Lubuntu should work fine....

    Yes, but we need to know what version you're using.
