    Heavy Fan Use Under Ubuntu

I have used Ubuntu for may years and find it incredibly frustrating that Ubuntu still haven't sorted out the heavy CPU/Fan Use on laptops. Surely after years of development this kind of issue should be solved by now?

    Very disapointing.

    Lol, change the CPU?

I've solved the issue by installing AMD drivers, it's nice to have Ubuntu actually playing nice on a laptop for the first time in over 5 years.

Seriously though, Canonical need to sort this out, there a many threads with people complaining about this issue, it is a real issue and with Canonical's claims of 'avoid the windows 8 nightmare'(okay not spot on but along the same lines) Canonical really need to get this sorted for the type of user that don't know how to use a terminal and aren't advanced pc users.
