@jerrylamos, your AMD E-350 is probably throttled back, if you run powertop, you should see something like the screenshot, the screenshot is from my netbook, as I haven't got throttling setup on this system.

    Code:
Quantal cpu MHz 1600.000 bogomips 3192.11
Raring cpu Mhz 800.000 bogomips 3192.18
So how does Raring run the same bogomips throttled back to half the MHz?

Anybody see this on updates? Is it important, been getting it for a couple days now...

I have been getting that for a few weeks now.... just never mentioned it because it installs ok. I thought it may be an f/p.

It seems to only happen with Plymouth updates and I never see any changes in bootup or shutdown plymouth screen, hmmmm!

Yes. I only started with 13.04 testing a few days ago. I couldn't find any reference to the issue except for this one . As ventrical mentioned things seems to work O.K. and I had (or so I tought) bigger issues to deal with, so I continued.

I just installed rc6 (all seems to be working well now) and go that message several times.

WARNING: could not open /tmp/mkinitramfs_7qQomG/lib/modules/3.7.0-030700rc6-generic/modules.builtin: No such file or directory

    ...and now .. reboot.

    Works excellently.

    Jerry
I think, but am not sure, that the bogomips number is determined during startup when the CPU's are locked in performance mode (max clock rate), and that it is independent of throttling state (i.e. it is the max for that computer)
