Re: Kernel 3.7 and AMD cpu's

I'm running 32bit ubuntu-minimal with an AMD Phenom II X2 555 processor. From the partial stack trace, it looks like it crashes when initializing my sata harddrive. I get the same results from the lastest 3.7.0.3.7 and the stable 3.6.7 mainline kernel. 3.5.0-17 leftover from quantal still works fine though.

Anyone know where to grab the full stacktrace without a null modem cable? No luck finding it in my logs so far.

I tried adding acpi=off to the boot parameters for rc6 and that let me get a little further but still no go , it times out waiting for the root device and drops to busybox .
if it ain't broke you haven't tweaked it enough

cant really tell you which, as i've not that issue (thanks) , but you will know which one works (in case it helps) after testing them (google around "ubuntu boot setting")

Seeing a logging doesn't work, when the system won't boot, see the crummy cell phone picture.

I get about the same thing on my KVM switch with 3.7 and an AMD 64 bit system.
