Blender 2.64a SVN not launching in 12.04
Hi guys,
I'm having a problem with Blender 2.64a+svn52227 ( which as far as I'm aware, is the most up to date release )
I installed it from the irie ppa, and it won't launch... At all, an Apport dialog box pops up saying blender failed to launch and gives the option to relaunch blender, or just give up.
When I try to launch Blender from the terminal, it comes up with
Code:
~$ blender
connect failed: No such file or directory
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
~$
~$ - Being my home directory
does anyone know what might be happening? And more importantly, how to fix it?
Additional info:
O/S: Ubuntu 12.04.0.1 LTS
Desktop Environment: Gnome 3
Blender version: Blender 2.64a+svn5227
Thanks.
Jamie.
