need imaging software to copy HD to new one

    Hi all,

Wondering what I can use to image my 12.10 64bit HD setup onto a new HD.

I would like to move to a SSD 120Gig HD from a 150Gig Velociraptor HD

    Thanks

    Hi Heeter.

Take a look at Clonezilla. It's a live CD specially design to image HD and partitions.

    Regards.

Last time I checked, Clonezilla would not image from a larger partition to a smaller one -- even if the partition was not full.

You might have to shrink down the 150GB to 120GB before you do the migration.
