    Won't boot into GUI after kernel update

    Using Ubuntu Studio on 12.04.

    I only get command line login, but there is a flash of the Studio screen before the command line comes up.

    What has gone wrong?

    I'm sorry - I just found a CloneZilla backup and restored it.

    I won't be installing any updates with the word "kernel" anywhere in the future.
