Re: choosing a new laptop for Ubuntu installation
I can vouch for some intel wireless cards kind of sucking.
Atheros or Realtek drivers that make them work are better than the intel drivers in Windows 9if you can make them work). I have an Asus gaming rig that is beast in windows or ubuntu but the wreless does decide not to be friendly all the time.
Recent updates in ubuntu have much improved performance however, in windows it is much imroved too when I got the manufacturer drivers and switched between them until one finally hasn't really failed yet.
When your entire life is measured in one moment, you change the concept of time.
