    Saving info ?

Hello; I find so much useful info. in the forum, much of which i want to save for sometime
when i may need it or to help someone else.
What would be a good way to save and organize all this, so it could be easily retrieved ??? Any suggestions appreciated. TIA.

I personally use zim, for keeping helpful tips. I've also just setup mediawiki on my home server for more invovled information, and projects that need documenting. Both are available from the repositories. See the screenshot for an example of how I use zim.

I keep a Wordpress blog that I add all my notes to- both for myself and to make it easier to answer some forums questions- for just small things, browser bookmarks work good as well.
I've been wanting to try Zim for a while too.

thanks for the suggestion, this is what i have been doing but the subscribed threads list is becoming HUGE.

Thanks to all for the replys, ZIM looks good, I have been saving notes in my documents. I was hoping for something on the forum site.
But whatever makes it convenient will be helpful.
