    Process “indicator-appli” taking up cpu

Just got a new Linux Ubuntu server up and running and my preformance monitor indicated the process "indicator-appli" takes up about 50% of CPU availability every 10 minutes, which is huge. The proccess is running multiple times (once for every user).

Does anyone know what this process actually does and if it is OK to terminate it?

This server is only used for hosting purposes. Can I terminate this process without disrupting the service?
