Gnome3 in 12.04 doesn't look right

Hey guys, Just fired up a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04. Installed gnome but when going into it, it just doesn't look like the gnome i'm used to. It almost looks like my computer can't support the GUI. I've had no issues with Unity and this is a quad core machine w/ a newer Radeon video card. Purchased within the year. Below is a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

looks ok to me.. the basic Gnome 3 theme is quite bland and basic.. Have you been using G3 with a different distro? it may have had some g3 extensions installed with it.

Mint G3 looks totally different for example..

have a look at extensions.gnome.org for some of the things you can add to vanilla G3

That looks totally normal to me; can you be more specific in your question?

I'm such a noob. It was Gnome CLASSIC that I was looking for.
