It appears that the latest 64-bit builds of netflix-desktop failed. Guess I won't be trying it for a while.

I should add, I am on 32 bit.
Doesn't 64 bit Ubuntu support running 32 bit stuff anyways? Might be worth a shot, or is that not so easy?
Well, I'm downloading the latest build (0.1.0) on my 64-bit Quantal machine. I'll test it out and report back.
EDIT: Everything installs just fine, but I get error 1001 (which is a Silverlight-related issue). I'm going to see if I can get any information from the developer. Will post if I find out anything.

Yep, just found that out. Installed it a few minutes ago and it works fine. For those who don't know how, run this command:
Anyway, some new packages are building as I write this. The netflix-desktop package will automatically pull in ttf-mscorefonts-installer as a dependency, and wine-compholio won't require the removal of vanilla WINE.Code:sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
Also, there are apparently some issues with the EXT3 filesystem. Not exactly sure what they are or how to fix them, but I know that Erich is working on instructions regarding those problems.

Works for me now
I opened synaptic and did a total removal of all wine related stuff
Then add repository
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ehoover/compholio
Then did update
sudo apt-get update
Then did wine install
sudo apt-get install wine-compholio+
Then did netflix desktop install
sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop
I also did winecfg
winecfg
Then find netflix desktop and click on icon, it will do some configuring
interesting to see netflix
this shows the progress, silverlight installs

I must have done something wrong, since it's not working for me... probably to do with installing it too early, before the PPA was properly ready. I guess I'll ppa-purge, and try again.
My video card is likely not powerful enough as I notice that in the time I took to post the prior message with netflix paused, going back to netflix, the window had hung on the video. Hit space bar and the audio started and took a minute for the video to catch up and play.
Running an Nvidia geforce 8400gs with Nvidia drivers
I am on 12.04 ubuntu
I tried the same method, but it complained about winecfg not being installed and suggested installing wine1.4, which I didn't do. Instead I tried to launch Netflix Desktop and it prompted me to install Mono which I did. After completing Mono download it started and....
IT WORKS!!!!!!! WOOOHOOO!
Thanks a lot for the solution.

After launching Netflix Dekstop, I hit F11 to leave fullscreen mode, then I can use Netflix fullscreen button.
