What support have you received from the Lubuntu team so far? That is the support that you'll be missing out on at the end of the 18 months. (If you aren't receiving any support from them, then nothing will really change for you.)

@snowpine: lol, that's true, technically no advice from the Lubuntu team so far. But that's a good question to get answered. What support does the Lubuntu team provide for 18 months, as in forum/patches/updates?

Lol its funny how we can rationally break these questions down, but without something official from the Lubuntu team it seems still unanswered...
