    Hi, it would be best to leave the setting including the dns server set to match my screenshots.

    Is your wireless set to infrastructure in network manager?

    yeah its set to infrastructure mode.

    Is there a distribution maybe from the developers of ubuntu out there which is known to be very handy in supporting third party wifi chips?
