Display freezes after boot
hello all,
recently upgraded from 12.04 LTS to 12.10 with my old Acer Aspire 5600
12.04 LTS did work good
now with the 12.10 after boot the display freezes (horizontal and vertical lines) => I thought Bad RAM => checked via memtest (the display shows everything without any lines, as good as it should be)
result : memtest 4.20 #7 gives me on each RAM-stick complete red error-lines
=> why was there no problem on 12.04 LTS?
=> are my RAM-sticks corrupted?
