Question Forum search for gnome-settings-daemon fails

I tried searching this forum for "gnome-settings-daemon crash", and got an unhelpful response that "gnome-settings-daemon" is too common and not included in the search (as if crash is not common).

The situation doesn't improve even if put quotes around "gnome-settings-daemon".

So, is there no way I can issue a query with "gnome-settings-daemon" in it?

    that is strange...

Anyway, you could use Google as a replacement, just use the following line as your search:
    Code:
    site:http://ubuntuforums.org gnome-settings-daemon

    +1

The forum search is not very useful, in my opinion, as it is not easy to refine your search, and most search terms comes up with literally hundreds of results.

I generally use www.googlubuntu.com for any ubuntu searches as it not only searches in this forum but also many other ubuntu related sites.
