    Drivers question.

First of all hi, to whoever may be reading this.
I am an absolute beginner at Ubuntu, but I recently moved to it from being a all-my-life windows user.
A big problem is drivers, first of all I'm looking for an EPSON Perfection 610 driver.
Also how do I install them in general, explain it to me like I'm five.
    Thank you for your time.

    Re: Drivers question.

This is a manual on the epson site that I found that may prove helpful. I did a search on their site for Linux driver and didn't find anything. It's very possible there isn't a driver for the epson perfection 610 on Linux, but read through the manual that is for your device and see if it has a README or some other info on how to set it up. If you need help, tell me which of those drivers you need from that page and I will try and walk you through installing the driver.

    Re: Drivers question.

Don't know if it helps, but I have an Epson Perfection 640U scanner, and it Just Works. Always has, for years. I just plug it in.

Have you actually tried just plugging it in and using it? I don't know about Ubuntu, but in Xubuntu the scanner app is called Simple Scan.
