    CPU's 100% all the time?

    Hey,

I just upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 and I am experiencing an interesting issue. My laptop's CPU's (i7-3610QM Quad-core hyperthreaded) are all running at 100% or close to it all of the time. Why is this happening and how can I fix it? I don't want my laptop to overheat...

    Screenshot is attached

SOLVED: I ended about 8 processes called "java"

Hmm, I had like 8 processes called "java" that had like a 96% CPU load. I guess I just had programs running in the background that I didn't stop lol
