As I said, I'm not an advanced user. So the difference between "Kernel Mode Setting" and "User-space Mode Setting" is not perfectly clear. I'll try to plug the gap!
In the meantime I ask you if it's possible "to play" with the xorg.conf configuration to try different settings for my Radeon 9100 IGP.
