    12.10 Move Dock to Bottom

Is there a way I can move the dock to the bottom? I realise that this was a design decision and I know that the official word has been that I can't but are there any known workarounds? The unity-rotated Compiz plugin doesn't appear to work in 12.10.

I dont think there is, a quick googole revealed the following:

    http://joesteiger.com/2011/11/06/mov...-ubuntu-11-10/

I have not tried it, and it did state 32bit only, I'm using 64bit Quantal so cannnot test this, but would advise caution as its designed for earlier version.

There is however nothing to stop you installing another desktop like xfce4.
You still have choice of using Unity or xfce4 from login manager.

    +1 post #2. Not possible after 11.10.
