    Thunderbird folders, Firefox folders

    Hi,
Having sent my iMac to the shop for changing the DVD burner, I got for the few next weeks a PC on which I installed Ubuntu (have it already on my iMac and like it, being very similar and just as good as OS X).
And, wanting to transfer the data, I copied the Thunderbird and Firefox folders to an external HD.

Normally, on Mac, those folders are in :
    home library/Thunderbird
    and
    Home library/Firefox

Could you please tell me where to look in Ubuntu ?

    Thanks

    Code:
    /home/user/.mozilla
    Code:
    /home/user/.thunderbird

Use ctrl+h to view the hidden folders

    Thanks a lot.
Including for the short cut with Hidden folders, I didn't ask for it, but was wondering where to find it

in almost any FileManager that is Ctrl+[Hh]
    or in the FM preferences|settings.
What's a landing but a take off in reverse?

    Re: Thunderbird folders, Firefox folders

I copy profile folders from my Desktop Ubuntu PC to my laptop when traveling.

When first installed I open Firefox & Thunderbird once to create the hidden folders with the default profiles. I then copy my profile and edit profile.ini with my profile name instead of the one created.
