    Netbook wireless completly stopped working.

    Hi,

I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS on a HP Mini 5102 Netbook with a 3.2.0-35-generic kernel. The wireless on the netbook has been playing up since I switched to 12.04 LTS. It would work for awhile then stop, then the wireless section of Network Manager would completely disappear. Now everything has vanished. It is almost like the netbook has no wireless adaptor at all. I've checked the wireless hardware switch and it is switched on. I know that this is not a hardware fault because the netbook dual boots with Windows 7 and works well under that. I really do not know what to do or where to look for information on my system that would suggest what is wrong.

    Thankyou, help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I've just done a full hardware scan with the BIOS and it looks like the wireless device it pretty much dead.
