Hi,
I'm configuring a new Dell Inspiron 660 running Ubuntu 12.04 and am looking for a PCI Express serial port card that is compatibile. So far what I've found is a StarTech.com PEX1S952 card. I downloaded the driver and read its README.txt file. It indicates that it has a kernel patch for Linux 2.6.17.7. I would rather not have to build the kernel and was wondering if this driver (or compatible) may have been built into 12.04. My current kernel is vmlinuz-3.2.0-32-generic. Alternatively, if there is a driver built in for some other PCIe serial card, would you please identify the card.

...thanks in advance...
