Sony Walkman mp3 player NW-xxx does not work with ubuntu yet.

Reason is a proprietary format for mp3-data storage on the player.

Re: Hardware Incompatibiliy List - Post your hardware which don't work here

The Via 880Pro and Via 880Ultra chipset is supported only from kernel version 2.6.17, not included in Dapper.

See:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=190341

for a patch.

Re: Hardware Incompatibiliy List - Post your hardware which don't work here

ASROCK 939 Dual SATA2 motherboard - this board's SATA (and SATA2) controllers are incompatible with kernel 2.6.15 and earlier, and will prevent Drake from installing if ANY SATA drives are connected. You have to physically disconnect your SATA drives in order to install or boot.

This affects all bios versions up to and including 2.20 (dated 06/27/2006).

A couple of possible workarounds (if you're installing to an IDE drive like me):

1) Go ahead and disconnect your SATA drives, install Ubuntu, patch/replace kernel (2.6.16 or later), reconnect SATA drives.

2) Install an add-on PCI card already supported by kernel v2.6.15, connect your SATA drive(s) to that card, and install 6.06

D-Link DWL G122 Rev C
Device is not recognized as a wifi-interface.
Trying to figure out if this is the right place to look for drivers although Dapper has some of them in the box.

Re: Hardware Incompatibiliy List - Post your hardware which don't work here

Seems that most SATA controlers I've tried (nVIDIA nForce 4) are seen on cold boot (power off then power on) but aren't seen after a warm reboot (without power off sequence).

Both wireless adaptors I happened to own when I switched to Linux:

D-Link DWL-120 Rev. F - USB
SMC 2602W - PCI w/AMD chipset
