After "upgrading" to 12.10 I am getting an "unsupported mode" error from my 40" Coby TV (monitor). I am getting the same error whether I use the onboard VGA connection or my Galaxy GeForce 9500 GT video card.
And so I deleted my install in frustration, but couldn't even get a live-cd to work.
Using a live-cd:
My system boots into X, and I have cli access, but apparently, my graphics are defaulting to 1920x1080x1024. They should be at 1920x1080_60 which was working in 12.04.
I have attempted to boot with nomodeset, but had no luck.
Since I already have cli access on terminal 1, I am wondering how to go about fixing it from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
