Re: ubuntu usb boot error please help

I am having the same problem described above, with the same hardware.

I have a USB drive with Xubuntu 12.04 on it. The drive boot fine with my other computers, but on the dell inspiron 530 after the bios screen it goes to a black screen with the words "BOOT ERROR" in the top-left corner.

Any solutions or insights would be appreciated.

EDIT: I successfully booted Xubuntu 12.04 32-bit from a CD. The USB drive was created from the same iso file.

I would still like to get the USB drive to boot. Ideas?
