As we know, Solid state drives are much quicker compared to normal HDDS when it comes to transer of data.
If i were to install a ubuntu on a usb 3.0 External ssd, then boot it from my boot menu in my bios, would I be able to take advantage of the fast speeds that SSD can provide?
I mean, the SSD is connected through the usb 3.0 connection - which is a minor bottleneck - but in theory, i should be able to get significantly greater speeds then if i were to install it on my HDD?
