canot run programe installed through wine

hey guys how are you .hope u are fine
well am using ubuntu 12.10 now and i installed window softwares em total converter on it through wine it created shortcut on my desktop when i double click on it.it does not run this programe even though i have configured it for window 7 using wine configuration tool please help me out

right-click on Applications menu to edit the menu (alacarte)
and check the wine's app path.

That program doesn't seem to work under Wine as of yet. There are old tests on Wine HQ that have pretty much the same results you just got.http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...rsion&iId=9163 There is no reason to use a Windows file converter in Linux. yasirmahmood: You should not just PRESUME that any windows app is going to work with Wine. Before you charge ahead, you should go to the WineHQ website and use the application compatibility tool to see how well your app and version work in Wine.

In your case, there is no entry for "total converter" -- meaning, that it's unlikely to install or work.
