Dropbox doesn't save settings after reboot.

    Hello dear forum,

I have a live ubuntu 12.04 on my pendrive (with persistent file enabled). I use it in the university for work. As we are connected through a LAN proxy. I set the proxy for the system and pressed "Apply system wide".

I installed dropbox and set proxy for it for sure. Now I log in dropbox and everything goes fine, until I reboot, dropbox forgets its proxy settings. For some reason it's even more annoying that I have to set proxy twice for each reboot (1st when dropbox tries to connect to server, 2nd when I log in it asks me to set proxy again).

I remember there were times that dropbox didn't have this problem and remembered its proxy settings.

Is there anyway that I find a "dropbox.conf" like file to set proxy there?

    Thank you!

Can anyone tell me at least where dropbox is installed? Can I find a file that contains its preference?
