When will Ubuntu support the mouse-wheel-click ?

    Hello,

I am using Ubuntu Studio 12.04 LTS 32-bit, and I miss the ability to click on the mouse-wheel in order to then browse up and down thru web pages or documents or images etc. by moving the mouse.

It would be so simple to implement; or is there already a way to enable it ?

Middle click works as pan in eog, evince and firefox. For firefox you need to enable it in preferences "use autoscrolling". In eog and evince you need to keep it pressed down.

Strange, mouse wheel click for me was functional "out of the box."
perhaps your mouse wasn't recognized properly?
