Unhappy How to remove the "Youtube" firefox app? (12.10)

Hi, I am fairly new to Ubuntu and have a slight problem.
I was on youtube just before and firefox asked me if I wanted to install the extension, to which I clicked yes.
I soon realized that the youtube extension doesn't really help me and takes up room on the sidebar so I would like it removed.

I have done "sudo apt-get remove unity-webapps-youtube" in the terminal, and it assured me it had been removed. That being said, when I go to the Dash and type in "Youtube" it's still there!!

How do I remove this!? D:

You have to go to firefox extensions tab and there uninstall the youtube extension you have installed.

Firefox Extensions tab does not show a "youtube" extension.

Re: How to remove the "Youtube" firefox app? (12.10)

    Hi,

I am fairly new to Ubuntu as well and I happen to have the same problem. This dialogue popped up again and again and I thought I just might give it a try. Proved to be weirdly useless (or I couldn't figure it out) and now I don't see how to remove it.

    Many thanks in advance!

look for that in Ubuntu software centre

Can't be of more help - I never use ubuntu software centre and I use Xubuntu

    Go like this:

Install dfcon-tools, run it, find com>canonical>unity>webapps, there is youtube allowed, remove it.
