Install of OO 3.4.1 failed 3 times while trying to install /DEBS/desktop-intergration/openoffice.org3.4-debian-menus_3.4-9593_all.deb
Redownloaded OO after each failure.
Any ideas on how to solve this.
TIA

What release of Ubuntu are you using? 12.04?
May I ask why you're trying to install OpenOffice? Ubuntu ships with LibreOffice, which is virtually the same thing (except better).
Jane, stop this crazy thing!
Release 12.04.
I've used OO for years.

LibreOffice is OpenOffice
OpenOffice pretty much became Oracle-Office once Sun was bought by Oracle.
Many (almost all) of OpenOffice's developers are now working on LibreOffice
You can install AOOwith the .debs downloaded directly from the official web sites. Note that this way you can install and run both applications in parallel. But you need to remove the packages coming with the Ubuntu out of the box configuration.
