    Fan not working in 12.04

    Hey all,

I've recently done an upgrade from 10.04 to 12.04.1. Among other problems, I'm also experiencing high CPU temperatures, which I thought could be fixed by running fancontrol, but I'm not able to configure it, since pwmconfig is giving me this error:

    Code:
/usr/sbin/pwmconfig: There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed
    sensors output:

    Code:
    acpitz-virtual-0
    Adapter: Virtual device
    temp1: +76.0°C (crit = +99.0°C)
    temp2: +68.0°C (crit = +126.0°C)

    k10temp-pci-00c3
    Adapter: PCI adapter
    temp1: +76.0°C (high = +70.0°C)
I've also tried a solution proposed here http://askubuntu.com/questions/14999...15-not-working, but this is not working for me, since sudo modprobe coretemp returns this:

    Code:
FATAL: Error inserting coretemp (/lib/modules/3.2.0-32-generic/kernel/drivers/hwmon/coretemp.ko): No such device
The computer in question is Acer Aspire 5536G, and in 10.04 everything was working normally.

    lspci output:
