    Intel GMA 4500m - Why can't I choose 1366x768

Well, basically when I first had to install it from a disc, it wouldn't boot properly and I keep getting a black screen when I booted from install. I had to use grub to use nomodeset, and now I've added that command in, after then it boots fine, but I can't seem to get the resolution of the monitor correct. I remember someone sayign that the 4500m in particular was a special case, apparently it should've been working fine to begin with due to the fact that "the intel drivers were already in the kernel", whatever that means. But with this, I don't know what is going on.

This is my first distro, so I'm pretty clueless on a lot of these terms. So can anyone help me?

Okay nevermind, fixed it, turned out it wasn't recognizing the backlight...

    It works fine now.
