Isn't it obvious? Steve Jobs isn't really dead. That's just a conspiracy to hide the fact that he's taken a consulting position at Canonical.

Best to stick with 12.04 until 12.10 bugs have been ironed out.
u might be right with that but in my case i am always that curious that i install updates the first official day at least...........
Still i am also not satisfied that canonical/ubuntu carted out the dodge windows function, especially with tablet pc dodge windows is better option than those provided now

That's why I've learned to curb my curiosity enough to install new releases on a VM.

Well, I must admit i switched to Kubuntu. It really works perfectly for me.
So, i will just stick to that until Canonical figures something out for Unity =). And make somethin useful, not those shopping lenses x)

After one year and half, I think I'll switch to windows again because without dodge window and compizconfig extra effects Ubuntu is really boring!

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I'm still running 12.04, but glancing at the Universe package list for 12.10, I see compiz-plugins-extra is still available. Perhaps you just need to install it?

It's my understanding that these effects are being dropped because no one is coming forward to help maintain them. Put another way, they're being scrapped for lack of interest...
