    Dual boot problems

Hello. I'm afraid that I messed up. I installed Ubuntu 12.10 the other day along side Windows 7. All went well there and I was able to pick either Ubuntu or Win7 when the computer booted up.
Well, today I installed Windows 8, and now I can't pick between Ubuntu and Win8 at boot up. It's a problem that I don't know how to fix.
I'm fairly comfortable working with Ubuntu and the command line.
Thanks all for your help in advance.

It sounds like installing windows messed up GRUB, the program that lets you choose an operating system. Don't worry, your Ubuntu installation should still be there, it's just not starting.

    Try boot repair:

The main difference between Windows forums and the Ubuntu forums is that the Ubuntu forums has hundreds of questions and thousands of answers, but Windows forums just have hundreds of questions.
As for the OS X forums, I wouldn't know, I'm too poor.
