Scilab big question about saving files

It's my firs time using scilab. Or any other math program. So i wrote a script in interactive mode (console) loading variables and getting functions outputs to variables and now i want to save my work for reuse. I can save a file wih sav extension but, opening a scilab file requires a SC extension and the saved environment files is garbage.

How do i save my work for later use?

AFAIK, scilab files are saved by extension .sci.
