Also, when attempting to make this post which contained my jockey log as a quote, I got the error

Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.

Not sure why, there were no tags that I could find. I even tried removing words like "initrd.img-3.0.0-26-generic".

Argh, can't load a .log as attachment. That is kind of silly. Had to zip it up.

Does it provide any specific error it failed on? I see a lot of ERROR in the log file, but it continues.

reinstalled OS and problem seems to have gone away. Of course I'm still pending a reboot but it claims to have installed without errors.
