    Horrible non fullscreen flash performance

Hi since a few days ago I've had big trouble with flash video playing at maybe 2 fps on many different sites. Youtube seems fine but online streams (twitch, own3d) and other more standard flash player embeds are unwatchable without me fullscreening. The only thing that I've changed is some audio options in order to make my sounds mono, I have since done my best to undo those modifications but the problem still persists.

I've tried different browsers, flash player versions and shaking my laptop violently. Does anyone have any advice?

If you use Firefox, then install flash-aid. It will fix the flash trouble for you.
