dpkg status database is locked by another process

    I have accidentally removed "libqtcore4".

So each time i try to install something using apt the following error msg reviles:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

    what to do??

That's usually because another package manager (such as Synaptic - or whatever is used in Kubuntu - Adept maybe?) is open - close it and try again

Windows assumes the user is an idiot.
    Linux demands proof.
