    Question Rainmeter for Linux?

    Hello Everyone.
    Is there something like Rainmeter for Windows, but for Linux??

    You don't say what it does. But a little searching shows that it might be some copy of Conky. Conky's a little special to customize, but runs well. There is a whole thread devoted to customization of Conky:

    conky is good and all, but i would like someone to port rainmeter to linux... it is much better, can do just as much if not more, and is better for beginners.... it is much easier to configure than conky

    Screenlets, its in the repositories.

    I tried screenlets.. I wanted something for weather... despite entering a ZIP code (not a postal code, it asked for a ZIP code) for Seattle I was given a city in egypt. When I went to look for a different weather package the screenlets site simply said "Site disabled" on one line.

    Doesnt bode well for screenlets.
