    I really need help figuring this out. I would love to keep ubuntu, but not if I can't get on the internet.

    Google isn't responding to pings anymore, and I have to struggle just to get one wep page to load.

    It seems like your connection is basically up, and I don't see any dropped packets in your ifconfig - have you tried basic stuff like maybe changing your DNS servers to google's (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) instead of the (Comcast?) 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.75.76?

    Beyond that I would start checking for log messages related to wlan0 i.e.

    And I tried changing to google's dns servers last night, and it didn't really do much. But I'll change to it again (I use automatic dhcp addresses only, right?) and see what it does. Thank you.

    Got it solved. I had to change NetworkManager.conf as so:
