thanks ill be waiting for that.
good day.
i've got more questions. i hope you can help me.
how do i enable the pop up that shows qfter authentication ? it would also indicate the elapsed time and remaining time of a user?
another thing is that im wondering if its possible for a user to be limited time based and packet based at the same time? e.g a user is given one day to access network resources but if he's already downloaded/uploaded a certain amount he can no longer access. thanks.

hi,
do the following from the terminal window
$ /etc/init.d/freeradius stop
$ freeradius -XXX
then try to login
then paste the output of command freeradius -XXX here
I noticed there is a dns problem when following the steps from this tutorial. Everything worked fine when typing in an ip address in the browser but typing the domain name didn't work (no redirection). So 74.125.136.138 works, but google.com not (time out error)
I changed the DNS server from opendns to HS_DNS1=10.1.0.1 and now everything works as it should.
I have followed every step in your guide everything seems to be progressing ok but until i get to da point where i have 2 test Mr John Doe i`m getting this error
root@test:~# sudo radtest "John Doe" hello 127.0.0.1 0 testing123
Sending Access-Request of id 130 to 127.0.0.1 port 1812
User-Name = "John Doe"
User-Password = "hello"
NAS-IP-Address = 127.0.1.1
NAS-Port = 0
rad_recv: Access-Reject packet from host 127.0.0.1 port 1812, id=130, length=20
