    System76 panp4n

    Hello,

I have a panp4n that I am quite happy with.
But..... The CMOS battery has given up the ghost.
Can I get a part number?
    Please?

    Thank you

    Willy

    Greetings willy...

I don't know about your panp4, but my panp6 is in essence a Clevo laptop. In fact, the Clevo model number is there on the underside, WT...something. Clevo has a website, but only seems to have parts for current machines? Good luck. Oops, just checked the Clevo site, updated with no parts listed, but they have a contact us.

I'm actually starting to run into this with my PanP5 where the click is starting to loose a few minutes a day. If you can't find the part number you might just have to crack into the laptop and check the battery that way... that's what I'm planning on doing int he next week or two. I'll post what I find if my PanP5 is compatible with your PanP4.

The PanP5 is nearly identical to the PanP4 (One later revision of the PanP4, the PanP4n is the same as the PanP5).

I believe the battery is a standard button cell battery, and is accesible from the bottom panel of the laptop.

Thanks Ian, I'll post more details on mine for Willy whenever I can get into it, unless he beats me to it

    Take care,

Hmm, actually I just opened up all the panels on the bottom of my PanP5, and I didn't see the battery anywhere. Ian, can you give some insight on how to get to it on these old systems?

    Thanks --
