Copy-paste carefully this command from here to your terminal ..

    Code:
    sudo sed 's/KernelDriver=nvidia-current/KernelDriver=nvidia/g' -i /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf
Reboot your system and give the results

    Code:
    cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log|grep -e WW -e EE
    cat /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf | grep KernelDriver
    Thanks

Re: Power managment -- fan noise Asus U31

    Lets try something else...

    Code:
echo 'blacklist nouveau' | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
    echo 'nvidia' | sudo tee -a /etc/modules
You have to reboot again ..

    Give the results of

    Code:
    cat /etc/modules
    cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
    cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log|grep -e WW -e EE
    cat /etc/bumblebee/bumblebee.conf
lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 vga
    Thanks

    I think I have to buy glasses , -a not -e . Edited.

Also try these commands before reboot.

    Code:
    sudo rm /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    sudo nvidia-xconfig
    Then reboot.
