Display freezes

I am getting to my wits' end here, so would like some insight. Basically I'm having my display freezing randomly.

I had earlier posted that I was having keyboard unresponsive issues and one suggestion was to upgrade my Ubuntu. I wasn't ready to do that yet.

I created a bug report and based on apport it was determined I had an issue with Xorg. But I don't know what happens next- the bug report still says incomplete. The bug is 1055240.

I then asked basically this same question on askubuntu- no relief there either.

Any suggestions what I can do at this point?

It's got to do with video and I am guessing flash video since it's happened many times on youtube and dailymotion.

I have gotten to the point I have a laptop sitting next to this PC so I can putty in and restart my machine- not good at all.
