snort wireless

well, im tring to make an IDS to work in a wireless network. The first shot i gave was "let's use snort!", but its look like that the project of wireless snort had stopped. So my question is: can I use snort (that i had downloded on snort.org)to detect on a wireless network? or i have to use other IDS? if so, what ids shoud i use?

Snort as a project is still developing, not sure if it has direct influence on snort-wireless though.
There is also PSAD

well, thanks i will take a look on psad, but i really what to know if snort can really detect attacks on a 802.11 network.

well, its look like that the snort guys had a project to create an ids to a wireless network, but they have stop to research, because they doesn't enough interesting on it, , but they will accept the community projects to add to the snort code base (maybe the wireless stuff). So, any one iterresting on that, can send to them.

on any case, a will start to see other, like kismet.
